The three sub-divisions falling under Ready To Eat are Speciality (formerly Gull Foods, Fifers Bakery and First Gourmet Foods), Cuisine (Seemann’s Charcuterie) and Outdoor (previously Galactex Outdoor).
SPECIALITY The Speciality sub-division is proud to be the supplier of Ready To Eat products exclusively to SA’s premium food retailer, Woolworths. Speciality prides itself in the ability to supply ready-to-eat products across a variety of disciplines (chilled, frozen, baked, meat and dairy), making us one of the very few suppliers in South Africa that are able to supply pastries, chilled and frozen desserts, snack platters, gourmet sandwiches, speciality breads and cakes from three Gauteng-based facilities. Speciality also supplies Spar, Checkers and Pick ’n Pay, focusing on the production of superior quality baked bread and confectionery products.
CUISINE The Cuisine sub-division is in the process of evolution. From historically producing and distributing top quality butchery and German-style meat products through our three Gauteng-based delicatessens, as well as local retailers, to a national brand: Seemann’s Charcuterie. Charcuterie is the culinary speciality dedicated to preparing sliced meats, hams, bacon, salami and sausages. With our recent acquisition of a state-of-the-art sous vide production facility in Midrand, Cuisine will take advantage of this technology to further grow the brand as a premium Charcuterie specialist.
OUTDOOR The Outdoor sub-division is home to the Weber range of barbeques and accessories and Igloo Coolers. Foodcorp holds the exclusive licence for Weber in South Africa and a number of islands across the Indian Ocean, distributing this superior barbeque range from our centre in Gauteng.
