The SA Schools Sprint Championships were held at Roodeplaat Dam in Pretoria from 28 to 30 April 2012. Foodcorp was once again proud to sponsor 17 members from the Soweto Canoe and Recreation Club at this major competition. Over 200 children from around the country participated and the SCARC paddlers did extremely well, some of them being new young paddlers who have recently joined the club and first time paddlers at an event such as this. The team thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Foodcorp is delighted to see the club growing and attracting new members.
Congratulations to the top achiever, Sifiso Cebekhulu, who finished in the A finals in some of his races with a few other paddlers making it into the B and C finals.
