Our Structure

Foodcorp is made up of two distinct divisions: Consumer Brands and Ready To Eat. This is a holistic approach to the diverse South African market – producing, distributing and marketing staple foods and family favourites, on-the-go snacks as well as more premium delicacies.

The products within Consumer Brands are focused on the mass consumer market, and fall within one of six sub-divisions: Grocery, Milling, Baking, Beverage, Fishing and Pies.

 

Grocery (formerly Nola), supplies the items on every family’s shopping list: peanut butter, mayonnaise, rusks, salad dressing, pet food, a sandwich spread and sorghum meal products. Milling (Ruto Mills) produces flour and maize meals for consumers, as well as supplying Baking (Sunbake), which produces breads loaves, buns and rolls.

 

Pilchards, deep water hake and lobster are caught and distributed by Fishing (Marine Products), while traditional maize drink mageu is produced within Beverage (Mageu Number One). Pie (Piemans Pantry) supplies delicious meat and traditional pies frozen (unbaked), baked and ready to eat, or baked (chilled).

 

The premium, superior quality goods that fall under Ready To Eat are aimed at the high-end consumer. They are produced and distributed by the Speciality, Cuisine and Outdoor sub-divisions.

 

Luxury treats made by Speciality (formerly Gull Foods and Fifer’s Bakery) include speciality breads, biltong, dairy desserts and heat-and-eat meals, as well as a bakery and confectionery selection that changes regularly, while the German-style sausages, hams, salamis and fresh meat available from Cuisine (Seemann’s Charcuterie) is of the highest quality.

 

Outdoor (formerly known as Galactex Outdoor) distributes the Weber range of barbeques and accessories in South Africa and a number of islands across the Indian Ocean.
